Rasú Yawanawa

A young indigenous leader, Rasú Yawanawa is the grandson and apprentice of the renowned shaman Tata Yawanawa and one of the artists participating in the musical and cinematographic project with DJ Alok.

Instituto Alok supports Rasú and his people in improving infrastructure – building small houses – for hosting those who seek Aldeia Mutum (Acre, on the banks of the Gregório River) in search of retreats for healing and spiritual growth.
The Yawanawa people are one of the cultures that care for and use traditional forest medicines since ancient times.
