Pretas & Pretos Band
Anelo Institute
The Alok Institute supports the Pretas & Pretos band, composed of 20 musicians who bring the theme of black culture to their repertoire. The initiative comes from the Anelo Institute, a music school that works with a racially inclusive approach, in the city of Campinas – SP.

The partnership between the project and the Alok Institute aims to democratize access to music and culture, as well as to bring reflection on socio-cultural issues related to identity, diversity, and the fight against racial discrimination.
Created in 1997 by Luccas Soares, who fell in love with music and decided to make it his life. He invested all his savings in buying a keyboard, becoming the first musician in the family. Shortly thereafter, he formed the Anelo Band with friends, which was the embryo of what is now the Institute.
For 26 years, the Anelo Institute has offered free music lessons in Jardim Florence – Campinas (SP) and has already served more than 10,000 students, including children, youth, and adults. Its name means aspiration, desire, will, and reflects the goal of transforming people through music.
They have been our partner since 2019, when Alok and the band Titãs donated the resources from joint rights on the song Epitáfio to the project.
