We supported the Recode Pro program – training in full stack programming (jr developers) – which had more than 9,000 subscribers. These young people went through a selection process of several phases, and then participated in training and the employability path.

All the candidates had access to Recode Digital Empowerment Courses (EAD), and went on to the next stage based on criteria such as level of vulnerability, interest and affinity with technology and performance in the course;

1,350 young people were selected to take part of a Virtual Hackathon, exploring the programming in a practical and objective way. It was an incredible experience that brought together the young people and 72 mentors, in a three-day journey of a lot of learning and exchanges between the teams.

Participants accepted the challenge of creating technological solutions to problems that have affected different groups belonging to minorities in Brazilian society. In all, prototypes of 180 impact solutions were developed, 24 of which were winners to benefit indigenous peoples, women, blacks, special needs people, immigrants in refugee situations and LGBTQIA+.

Towards a new place

After delivering the projects in the Hackathon stage, 600 young people were pre-selected and individually interviewed. Among them, 360 students (divided into 6 classes of 60 young people) were selected to participate in training focused on full-stack programming (jr developers).

The trajectory includes an important immersion into the development of social-emotional skills, such as: problem solving, collaboration and ethics, creativity and communication.

Thus, we train programmers empowered by a critical sense and willingness to transform their communities.

*The training runs until April 2022, when the first talent fair for the selection process will take place in large companies.

We hope that EVERYONE will find a place in the job market.
