About the Mansion on the way

The Normal Birth Center Marieta de Souza Pereira da Mansão do Caminho, conceived and implemented by Divaldo Franco, was inaugurated in 2011, being the first Normal Birth Center of Stork Network of Brazil. There have been almost 6 thousand deliveries and births in a humanized way.

The Center adopts actions and principles within a philosophy of humanized care for labor and birth, such as the full reception of the parturient, with the presence of a companion throughout the parturition period, stimulating the strengthening of the family bond by providing access to non-pharmacological methods. and non-invasive pain relief, encouraging ambulation and position changes during labor, allowing the parturient to adopt different positions during delivery. In addition, it promotes immediate skin-to-skin contact between the mother and the newborn, preventing heat loss and favoring the construction of the bond of greater love, Mother/Son; and encourages breastfeeding even in the birthing environment.

The work is developed by a multidisciplinary team, obstetricians, obstetric nurses, pediatricians, physiotherapists, nutritionists, psychologists, Doulas. The actions adopted are based “on practices validated by the best available scientific evidence, combining obstetric art with science, aiming at a safe birth for mother and child, with a minimum of necessary interventions”.
