1st MOTCI - Tibira Itinerant Cinema Exhibition
The Alok Institute supported the MOTCI – 1st Tibira Itinerant Cinema Exhibition, with the purpose of highlighting the importance of indigenous peoples for the preservation and maintenance of the environment, encompassing their struggle and resistance against the advance of mining and land grabbing on ancestral territories, and their effects on the health of their populations.






The 1st Tibira Itinerant Cinema Exhibition was conceived by Marcelo Krahô, audiovisual curator, journalist, film director, and cultural producer, and took place at the Estação Net Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro, where Alok and other personalities were honored for their alliance with indigenous peoples.
Among the honorees were:
– Alok, artist, founder of the Alok Institute.
– Sônia Guajajara, Minister of Indigenous Peoples.
– Anielle Franco, Minister of Racial Equality.
– Margareth Menezes, Minister of Culture.
– Célia Xakriabá, Federal Deputy
