about Alok

“Giving makes me happier”

“Giving makes me happier”

I hope that this achievement awakens in people what it awakens in me: the desire to contribute positively, impacting others in some way”, said the artist Alok, who reached the rank of 4th best DJ in the world, at the end of 2021.

The creation of the the Alok Institute manifests, in the field of social transformation, the same professionalism, authenticity and motivation that he, who is one of the most listened to Brazilian artists in the world, marks his presence in the music scene, in game shows and in interactions on social networks. .

The permanent exchange with an ocean of people from different generations and social classes deepens Alok’s commitment to those who live in vulnerability and also to those who fight inequality.

Even before the formal birth of the Alok Institute, donations of fees, transfers of music royalties, mobilization of people and partner brands for social action were already common.

Contributing is the very purpose of life, and what makes me the happiest,” says Alok.

This is how the Alok Institute was born – which also supports social actions in Africa and India: to join many other people and organizations that do not give up on illuminating this world so that it is a better home to live in, in a more just, happy and sustainable.

Born in 1991 in Goiânia, Brazil, Alok is the son of electronic music pioneers and DJs Ekanta Jake and Swarup (Juarez Petrillo). Brother of the international DJ Bhaskar and Jaya Petrillo, Alok is married to Dr. Romana Novais, and father to Ravi and Raika.
